Being a fellow resident of Southern Oregon and witnessing the tremendous impact the Almeda wildfire had on our community. It was clear that rebuilding and recovery would be a daunting challenge. In light of this, Coalición Fortaleza, a local organization, approached me to assist them in designing a presentation deck used to secure funding for affordable housing initiatives for those who were displaced.
Project Description
As a newly formed organization, I provided essential guidance throughout the design process of their presentation deck. I created a schedule, gathered content, outsourced photos, and scheduled multiple check-ins to go over edits. Recognizing the need for accessibility, particularly for the non-English-speaking majority who were most affected by the wildfires, I edited the translated slide decks into common-speaking Spanish. This allowed all stakeholders to fully engage with the materials and comprehend the goals and impact of the wildfires and the affordable housing initiatives.
