Wick'd Pissah is one of the first canned beers available from Brewerks in Anchorage, Alaska. The brewer described this New England IPA as a beer you crack open on any occasion; it is the chameleon of beer, to be enjoyed on a good or bad day.
Project Description
Designing a beer label has always been a personal goal of mine, so when Brewerks approached me with the opportunity to create a label for their New England IPA, I was thrilled to take it on as a passion project. Initially, the client had no specific design direction in mind, so we embarked on a collaborative process to find the perfect style that would capture the essence of their brand.
To begin, I conducted extensive research into various design genres, and narrowed down the style the client was looking for through multiple design exercises. After gathering a comprehensive understanding of the client's preferences, I presented them with three distinct label concepts that reflected the desired style. I was thrilled when the client chose one concept to move forward with, as it allowed us to align our vision and move closer to the final design.
Once the illustration was completed, I exported it to Adobe Illustrator for further refinement. In Illustrator, I focused on refining the color scheme, adjusting the layout, and experimenting with different text styles to achieve a cohesive and visually appealing label design. This iterative process allowed me to bring all the elements together and ensure the final look and feel of the label aligned with the client's vision.
